Paris-born DJ, producer, vocalist and songwriter Selena Faider is building a steadfast reputation as one of France’s brightest rising stars. Known for her infectious, energy-fuelled sets, diverse selection and catchy vocal melodies, her path from lockdown success story to must-know name continues to accelerate heading into 2022.
In 2019 Faider released her first record ‘Underground World’ alongside the New York house music legend Todd Terry, who picked up the track on his own label InHouse. It was at this time she also joined the House Gospel Choir, where she developed her skills as a vocalist, performing at the ensemble’s live shows.
As lockdown restrictions were rolled out across the globe in 2020 and virtual parties reigned supreme, Faider appeared on livestreams for major brands including Defected Records, KISS FM, Redbull, Beatport, TEDx and Soul in the Horn. Generating millions of views worldwide, it wasn’t long before real life club bookings followed suit when the world reopened, appearing at Defected and elrow’s Croatia festivals and iconic London venues Ministry of Sound and Electric Brixton, supporting legendary DJs like Louie Vega, David Morales, Mousse T., Eats Everything and more.
In 2020 Faider also launched her own mix show ‘That’s Why You’re Dancing’, a platform for her to share her musical discoveries and host high-profile guests, including Boombass from Cassius.
Described by DJ Mag as “The future of House”, Faider’s career continues to go from strength to strength, with a string of high-profile club and festival bookings and release plans already in the calendar for 2022.
