Born and raised in Baghdad ,Iraq to Kurdish parents, Sama embarked on a career in political journalism at a young age, eventually achieving remarkable success with her work featured in renowned outlets such as BBC News and Voice of America, in addition to being a TEDx Oxford speaker. From the tender age of 14, Sama discovered a profound passion for music by starting with DJing highschool parties in Baghdad.
By the autumn of 2021, she had transformed her love and devotion for House music into a reality, headlining major venues in North America and Europe with her electrifying performances and supporting iconic international acts like BlackCoffee, Solomun, Francis Mercier, Sparrow and Barbossa to name a few. Her music is a vibrant fusion of culture where she artfully blends her roots and years of living in the MiddleEast, Africa and Europe.
